SJVN has been entrusted with 10 pumped hydro storage projects, totaling 12,790 MW capacity, across various states by the Central government. While six projects are planned in Maharashtra, the remaining projects are set to be located in Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Sharma noted that feasibility studies are being conducted for all locations, and construction will proceed in areas deemed viable. However, due to wildlife sanctuary constraints, only one out of the six allocated projects in Maharashtra is expected to be feasible.
